About Us
Core Values
Knowledge
We believe that knowledge is the beginning of embarking on any journey. It is the first step in making positive and innovative life changing choices. Acquiring proper knowledge is key to creating opportunities that drive success. This is the focal point of LRC, assuring that our adolescents are equipped with the proper knowledge needed to make a thriving and sustainable future in a constantly changing world.
Work smarter not harder
Many times, while reflecting over our lives, we realize that our course could have been a lot faster, easier, and smoother. LRC strives to help adolescents view relevant information with wide eyes and an open perspective. The goal is to identify the smarter choice over the harder solution, enabling them to navigate through hard spaces.
Plan, Prepare, and execute
Planning, preparing, and executing are key pillars to success as an adult. Maneuvering through life aimlessly can cultivate space for distractions and becoming stagnant. LRC will provide tools to master each pillar to succeed in future endeavors.
Independence
Readiness and preparedness are fundamental when becoming an independent adult. Empowering our participants to strive for greatness while being accountable for their decisions is how we ensure success and develop autonomy.
From The President - The Origin Of LRC
“Hello and welcome to LRC, my name is Kerri Davis and I am a St. Louis native, truly possessing a love for our youth. I believe in my heart that St. Louis is a great place, however my focal point has always been the hardships faced by our youth. Maintaining this thought process while reflecting on my past were my driving forces to create LRC. During the final months leading to my high school graduation the focus was adulthood. When thinking about adulting the only thoughts populating my brain were what the formal knowledge pool had to offer. Quite frankly the pool was shallow, only offering options such as college, military, and maybe working at a local company for years to eventually settle in a mid-career level position. When I graduated from high school I decided on the option of college. Deciding what I wanted to do in college was a challenge for me that resulted in me changing my major three times. After obtaining my degrees there was still a level of uncertainty present. It took almost a decade of working multiple jobs to truly find a career that that fit me. I believe College and Corporate America were always going to be a couple of many adventures for me, however if I were exposed to a program such as LRC I would have had a more defined idea of best choices and detours I encountered would have been minimized. After this experience my goal became to curate a safe space where exploration, drive, and independence are the focal points, which is why they are engrained in the many services that we provide at LRC. LRC aspires to change lives in a positive manner one adolescent at a time”.
Thank you
